Can a drug help improve endurance?

Adam’s Training Journal

For the last six weeks or so, I’ve been battling an Achilles tendon problem. The injury sent me first to the exercise bike and, when even that proved too painful, to the elliptical trainer.

Thankfully, I’m now up and running again. Still, despite my best cross-training efforts in the interim, I’ve found longer runs that once were easy now become quite a struggle, particularly in the final miles.

With months of hard training, I know I can regain the endurance I lost. But with the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon only two months away, I’m looking to get on the fast track to fitness.

Any ideas?
